The Declaration talks about the necessity "to dissolve the political bonds." About "unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Most radically of all it says "That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT, and to institute new government..." Comment: Raw land produces grass, which aint food. I bust my ass trying to get some vegetables to grow in my garden :-) Wheat was produced by man selectively breeding grass not nature. You don't have to tune your radio in to his frequency and you can't prevent the waves from entering your house anyway. (faraday cage excluded) But if you try to transmit on his established frequency you are interfering with his broadcast just as if you had gone into his garden and taken his vegetables.

Comment: HarcourtMarketing: 'french peoples followed suit' The French revolution was Liberty, Equality, Fraternity. Pursuit of happiness and property rights were not part of it. That's why the French revolution descended into the bloody beheading of anyone who owned land and then they had an Emperor who threw Europe into war. It is not the same calibre as the American Revolution at all. But yes, the Statue of Liberty is a gift from France. There is a smaller one in Paris.

Comment: JimboTHC "not free to start up" 2. It is interesting that you say the airwaves are 'loaned' to broadcasters. They ought to be private property with government's only role in enforcing property rights to prevent jamming etc. The airwaves didn't exist as a resource until the radio transmitter and receiver were INVENTED. Any given frequency rightfully belongs to the first person to operate a transmitter at that frequency. Just as land rights in America went to those who worked the land first.

Comment: Just because you think the Airwaves "ought" to be private property doesn't mean they are. Your theories of how transmitters work is delusional. And your denial of monopoly by cable carriers and government regulation prohibiting a broadcasting license's or competition with a utility is intellectually dishonest.

Comment: JimboTHC: 1. obviously. 2. exactly how is it delusional? EM spectrum cannot be used for communication without a transmitter and a receiver. And they didn't exist until man made one. 3. Don't be so harsh here maybe I just don't know all the intricacies of the US broadcasting laws. But cable is different from airwaves, isn't it? Has the FCC closed all applications for new radio and tv licenses? If one had enough capital, couldn't they start a new broadcasting company? Can you use UHF?

Comment: The spectrum has always existed, Nature produces all these signals in space. This is why we get transmissions from deep space all the time. Your argument is the equivalent of the guy who invented the sail owns the wind. UHF/VHF are going away with digital transition. 3)Your third question is based on you feigning ignorance, Thats not debating thats heckling.

Comment: Yes the spectrum existed but nature doesn't produce television shows and musical broadcasts. And we haven't had any great messages coming from deep space have we. Just as raw land doesn't produce wheat it takes human activity to make land and the airwaves productive. A man working on a plot of land owns the produce. A man transmitting on a frequency with a given range ought to own that frequency and territory.

Comment: The point of the video is that the US government has censored parts of the declaraion of independence. But it's only censored if you cannot communicate it in any form. And you can obviously communicate it without being arrested and thrown in prison. I grant that there is massive government interference in various forms of communication but it's not like China where you have blacked out regions broadcast on tv and books you cannot buy. And executions for speaking against the government.
